Hysteria

My friend Bobby recently joined a band called Hysteria. They are from Nashville, TN.

They played here Saturday night with Another Mistake, Written Off, Damaged Goods, Skinwalkers, and Agitator. Their set was very good. I was/am really into Bobby's old band, I Need Closure. Heavy, dark, doomy. I feel like Hysteria embodies all these qualities too. Bobby is a crazy front man. His bandmates play very well. I'm not sure what they sounded like before he entered, but I am impressed with the music. All the guys in the band are very nice and funny.

You should check out their demo, This is Not the Place I'm Supposed to Be. They have a fanpage on Facebook, if you're in to liking cool bands, Hysteria.

Here's their blog with lyrics to their demo and show info: BLOG! Don't sleep. Download their demo, go see they play, mosh, buy a shirt, be active.

I am not always right, but I understand one thing: I've screamed for 26 years and it got me nothing.

Big things...

Well, I've been in Louisville for almost two weeks now. The time spent here so far has been nothing short of spectacular. The only semi-downside is I don't have the internet password at my place and I don't know how to figure it out. Its not been a bad thing. Being away from the computer has given me more time for friends, Sophia, and catching up on reading. (I'm updating via my Blackberry).
The move went well. I finished my last final on Wednesday and had everything packed on Tuesday. I left Thursday morning at 530am. It was hard leaving my Mom but she was very positive about the move. She has continued to be very positive. Sophia and I arrived in Louisville around 930PM (we stopped a lot to just chill and run around).Hanged out with the boys and stayed at Keith's house. I don't remember a lot from that night so I'm sure it was good. Since the first night everyone has been hanging out... Like nonstop hanging out. I haven't been home alone at all except to sleep and even then Dusty has been sleeping over every weekend and Shella this weekend. Its been a great transition... I mean I didn't expect my friends to be so stoked on me being back. I defiantly underestimated them.<3
I want to update more about parties, bands, friends but its hard to think of all the great stuff that's gone on! I have a lot of photos I want to post and bands I want to talk about but that will all have to wait until I have time to get on my laptop.

I'm pleased with the finished product.
I hope he likes it too!

Kentucky

I'm also moving back to LOUISVILLE! in less then 2 weeks.

I can't even put into words how happy I've been the last two months. Between visiting Louisville, Kelly coming back to Chinco with me for a week, United Blood, deciding to move back to Louisville, doing well in school, getting my job back at The Gardner School...SHIT IS SO TIGHT.
I am MOST excited to see my friends on a daily basis. Fuckin right.

There's a new Southern KY hardcore/metal messageboard. It's entertaining for the most part.

So many good shows are happening in the next few months in Louisville. Hopefully, Louisville hardcore scene will make a comeback (as far as shows go).

I also think I might be going to see RZL DZL in Columbus, OH (if the $$ is right) the day after I move back. If I don't get to go, I still get to see Touche Amore so... WIN WIN WIN WIN.

Baltimore Vday

Picked these up (minus the 3 Blacklisted 7"s) at a record store in Towson, Maryland before the Blacklisted/Ruiner show in Baltimore. I don't remember the name of the store. It was a very awesome record store. I would like to return when I have more money. They had so many records I wanted.
Tony, Mary, Nick, and I enjoyed sushi at a rotating sushi bar in Towson. It was cute! The sushi was decent! It was also cheap..that's always a plus.
The show was a lot of fun! Ruiner played a love song set and it was great! I wish I could see them play more. Once I get the funds, I will take more trips to Baltimore to see them. Blacklisted was perfect, as usual. They only played like 3 new songs. I was hoping for more. Both sets made me happy I chose Baltimore for Valentine's Day over a little boy. Hardcore > boys. I didn't really watch Pulling Teeth or Strike Anywhere. I like Pulling Teeth but the preaching kills me. I wasn't about to stand near the stinkyness of Strike Anywhere's fans.
After the show we met up with some of their friends to eat at a shitty diner that I will never go to again. It was an experience though.
I like Baltimore. I've never hanged out in the city itself before, just passed through. Driving home at 5:30am on no sleep really sucked though. The drive was awful. I couldn't keep my eyes open for longer than 30 minutes. I made it 2 1/2hrs in before I had to stop and sleep for another hour, haha. In the end, I didn't mind as much. I enjoyed "hanging out" more than sleeping. ;)

The future..

I am looking forward to so many things!! This is kind of a first in a long time.

1. Blacklisted & Ruiner for Valentine's day! Hopefully seeing Mary and meeting her husband, Nick, Hannah, and Tony!
2. Turning 23 (ups&downs I guess)! I don't know why I'm excited about this. Just sort of am. I hope to spend my birthday eating sushi and drinking massive amounts of alcohol. I don't know where that will be yet because I have class from 1-10pm. Weekend will be good I hope.
3. United Blood! Seeing awesome bands, in a city I've grown to love, with the best of my friends. I am so excited to see everyone! <3
4. Closer to getting my degree. Another semester closer to getting my degree.
5. NYC with my brother! in May Bryan and I are going to New York City (my first time!) to see Jon Stewart doing taping of The Daily Show. I hope to eat some good food.
6. Summer days spent at the beach with Ashhates! Weekends will be spent on the beach hopefully on Chincoteague with Ashley. Getting tan, swimming, and moshing to Mental.
7. Road trips! Enough said.
8. Sound & Fury-Cali! Buying a plane ticket soon for S&F in Cali. I haven't been to California since I was like 3. I am very freaking excited.

Jacob Diehl

Found out today a friend died in a car accident this morning at 2:36am. I am very sadden by this. JMoney was such a funny, laid back dude. He stayed real to himself and did his own thing. I have so many good memories with him. He took me on a few dates and we shared a New Years Eve kiss. He was a great guy. I cannot say enough good things about this man. A bit out of control at times but lived a good life. He will be missed so much and I will never forget the good times we shared.

Rest in peace, JMoney. xoxo

Friends

"I'm pulling for you
You deserve so much steph
You really do"

THAT is the type of shit I deserve to hear when I'm feeling down about things.

How many of us have them? Ones we can depend on..

THANK YOU DAN.

The internet.

The problem with friendships and relationships is the internet.
If you don't have time for real people in your life but you have time to play on the internet all the time, you're a jerk.
