Summer

I've been staying pretty busy between work and hanging out with friends. Jim and I have been working on a zine (Dying for It).
Overall everything is going really well with me. I have outstanding friends who I am so thankful for, a great family, and a wonderful dog. Plus there are so many great hardcore bands coming out and/or putting out new records lately. New Bitter End drops soon, Betrayed released a 7", The Rival Mob preorders are up, Cruel Hand, Fire & Ice.. etc etc.

I guess we're going swimming and grillin at Sam's house.

I also crazy about Jim.

Dead End Path pt 2

Hey ya'll, Dead End Path has blown up since I've last talked about them.
Dead End Path has a new 7", Death Walks Beside Us, coming out on TRIPLE B RECORDS. You can preorder it along with some represses of other Triple B bands, Fire & Ice, Rival Mob, and The First Annual (I haven't heard them but will be checking them out in a bit).

DEP has put 2 songs from the 7" on their MYSPACE. I like them both. "Deliver Us" has Bob Mack's guest vocals, I think, at least, that is what it sounds like.

They are also going on a summer tour and playing Sound & Fury. Sadly, they are not coming around here on their way to S&F but maybe on the way back.
It's a team effort getting that worked out.

Fire & Ice

I don't think I've talked about Fire & Ice yet.
Let's change that.

Newer Richmond Hardcore band feat members of Iron Boots, Down to Nothing, Junkyard Dogs, and Demon Brother.
Of course an old-school sound, a lot of Leeway inspired guitar, vocals, eh, I don't know. I want to say they have a much more unique sound then a lot of bands coming forth, or at least the ones I talk about/listen to. Taking an Icemen song as your band name is pretty cool too.
They've been on tour with Foundation, Trapped Under Ice, Forfeit, Hardside, and others I guess. I'm not too sure who else they've played with lately. They are also playing in Baltimore at Sonar with Integrity, Ringworm, and Pulling Teeth. BIG THINGS! Go see them, mosh hard.

You can download the demo here and BUY THEIR 7". I don't know if it's still being sold or has been reissued or what. I'm pretty sure they had them at the show last night. 7" obviously is much smoother than the 2 songs on the demo. So, download it, get into them, buy it, then go see them on tour. Buy a shirt or something. Tell Mark you think he's got a sexy mouth.
